(1948-    ) Italian multilingual scholar, critic, translator, reviewer, and poet. He has published in a variety of literary and scholarly journals, and currently teaches Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures at Brock University in Ontario, Canada. While the majority of his work focuses on French, Italian and Spanish culture, translation, literature and poetry, in 1979 he wrote CDN SF&F: A Bibliography of Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy (1979 chap) with Michael Richardson, John Robert Colombo and John Bell.

In addition, he has published two collections: Hard Confessions (coll 1987) and Too Many Popes (coll 1990), which assemble cosmopolitan short fictions that focus on fantasy, coincidence and the absurd. [LGS]
